Well got ahold of the insurance agent for usaa and if i let them have the truck they offerd me 1000$ thats some total bs. They told me if i wish to contest the valuation i need to show them for sale adds for comparison, anyone wana help with some special for sale adds lol

For the average '83 around me... they are probably not too far off. You gotta prove it isn't average and what better than average trucks sell for.

Provided you make it thru this without a salvage title and you get it put back together you might check into doing something different with your insurance. Classic car or agreed value or something to kind of set a precedence that you don't think it is just another 40 year old compact truck.

That's a steal for $150...

The only comforting thing about it is that it is at the wrong end of Missouri for me I and I would have spent more than the difference in price in gas/hotel.

Ok so here goes to start every other body panel is straight, i will admit the drivers side mirror had taken a hit in the past i need to replace the door. It was and is planed for this spring, already have it just need good paint weather. I compleatly striped the interior cleaned delt with surface rust patched a couple holes, re seam sealed, i repainted everything, took the back window out to get to the pinch weld there. I truck bed linerd the floor, than installed noico sound deadener, with infrared thermal insulation at the kick panel, and back wall, installed new carpet, has xlt trim package, so headliner, all trim pieces, after market plastic door cards, that match headliner, a like new bench seat, i seam sealed the inside of the cowel, than coated in bed liner. For the mechanical side it has a carbed, 2.3 with approx 130000, miles runs like a top compression is good and even on all cylinders, 4 speed manual trans, all gears smooth as buttter compleatly mechanically sound, warn manual locking hubs, manual transfercase 4x4 works fantastic, ive gone through and reworked any wiring damage thats occurred in The last 37 years, replaced all ignition componets, custom battery tray for larger batt. The suspension is in great shape, nothing needs replaced,its got a custom aluminum shell on the bed that cost 2000$ to replace, its got 15 inch bullet hole rims, with brand new 235/75/15 k02's on alignment is true, tube rear bumper with 2 inch reciver.

I was thinking of putting a mirror headliner in mine....

I’ll reach out on the bed and insurance after I go to pullapart. Might be delayed a day, got my 1st Covid shot, got achy...

Hands offThose are not available lol im not parting this truck out. However if you would like i have 2 trucks i am parting out with good corners, and whats wrong with that head liner it came from the same truck as the seat
