Just curious. So, what difference would the manual make vs the auto in gear ratio? I mean i know the torque converter slips some until lockup. Is that the only difference?

Thank you all for all the great info!!! Especially Jim Oaks! But you guys were a month and half late on responding for me. Hahaha no big deal. But I have already geared my axles and I chose to go with 4.88's. Ox locker up front and Detroit locker in the rear!!! Its gonna handle itself well! The only struggle I am having right now is the decision making part of how I'm going to set up my radius arms and steering and trac bar. I really love dkonrads build! I believe I got his name right. The tuck of the year guy!!! But other than that progress is good! But since I have your guys's attention what have you used for brake lines on you solid axle Dana 44 setups? I'm puzzled on that one! Hahaha not enough research into the brake aspect yet.

There's a couple different ways to do the brakelines. Simplest would be to just get some extended flex lines and run them to the coil buckets where the hard lines are. On SVT i have them T'd together on the axle then travel up the tracbar, but i set mine up with 16" of travel in mind...
