98 torsion bar 4wd. I just recently finished a front end rebuild, shocks, swaybar ends links, control arms, outer tie rod, and ball joints. And I now have a thud that sounds like it’s coming from both sides only when I go over bumps. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Sounds like something is loose. I checked end links tie rods shocks and control arms and all are tight. Anyone have ideas on what it could be

Swaybar bushings?

Edit: I find that once you start tightening up things in the front end you tend to expose other weak points. That "wide thud" always makes me think swaybar.

Does the thud happen if you hit a bump with only one front wheel (say while turning into a driveway/parking lot or crossing a speed bump at an angle)? Or does it happen when you hit the same bump with both wheels together (a dip in an intersection or hitting the speed bump straight-on)? Or does it do it either way?
Does it ever make the noise while turning the steering wheel in place without the truck rolling?

Answers to these could help narrow it down.

I assume the bump stops on the frame are in place/in good condition?

Did you crank up the torsion bars for some lift?

maybe you just have to recheck all the nuts you tightened down after your rebuild?
