hello, I appreciate if anyone has experience with this. to give you the history of the problem for some reason the bracket that holds the throttle cable to the engine (manifold) at the carburetor broke for some unknown reason. I welded it together and the gas peddle works now. Although the gas peddle seems low. The Throttle cable is actually an inch too long as it seems. ITs like I want to move the little ball at the end of the cable up a half-inch. in other words, there is slop in the moving part of the throttle cable. If the bracket had slotted holes in it I would be able to move the bracket back on the manifold to take up the slop. For the record, the welded bracket is back to the original form and shape.
Anyone ever had this problem? any advice. I will thank you ahead of time. Thanks.
