So I bought this ranger on Jan 19, 2010. I trailered it home to start the repairs and mods!:icon_thumby:

It's a 3.0L V6 5 speed magnaflow exhaust some other goodies 6" lift and 33's on soft 8's. Warn manual hubs and James Duff bumper.

Sure the body is rough, but the motor tranny and transfer are strong. It needs ball joints badly and all the lift tightened up.

I ordered new rear leafs for it today, should see them tomorrow. they're trailmaster 3" for $219 shipped! that will eliminate some block and fix the massive spring wrap and rear steer:D

alright, here's a small update!
Got the new leafs installed last night. Put some new unbroken tail lights from a 98 ranger in today, removed most of the stickers and finally washed it!

Found the rear pinion and brakes to be completely shot! And still cannot get the front end to track well need ball joints, bearings and breaks. SOooo... I'm going to junk them and buy axles soon!!!

Going to order another set of these leafs for the front end to go with the axles when i find them!

well I bought axles tonight!!!

Dana 44HP 4.09 gears out of a 78 F250
Dana 60 4.10 same truck.

Front

Rear disassembled

Complete front

Rear end gears need set up still.

u-bolts plates and extra new ball joints.

Complete set of bearings, seals, pistons, for the rear axle.

the rest of the Richmond install kit to finish the gear setup.

The rear axle has the yukons in it, the Richmonds are brand new 4.10's, but the wrong kind i guess?

freshly turned drums and new shoes, along with the parts.

Extra rear carrier

Shafts

Going to get started on this very soon!

 when you put your mind to something!:D

Well I first posted in the "show off" forum, when i bought the truck last week. But then kept adding too that post. So rather than keep going, Thought i'd switch all the pics and info to a build thread!

I like um beat up, then i don't feel bad smashing/ rolling them:icon_thumby:

THE Deed is done! Almost, Drive line, brake lines and steering to be finished!

4" lift leaf springs for an explorer, 6" shackle sitting on 34x9.5 tsl's

I don't think it's too high,, It sure settled down from when it was at droop! And flexes really well! better after the 63" rear spring swap in the back and the dana 60.

It was suggested to me by a guy in another forum to swap out the square u-bolts with round ones and flip them, so i'm going to do that later, after i get it on the road( which is my main goal.)

more pics of the swap to post later.

yep longbed, it will be bobbed in the near future.

here are more pics sorry they're not in order.

The truck settled down more than i thought it would so I had to re drill the rear perch to get the correct shackle angle i want to run.
