Just picked this up. 2020 Edge SEL AWD.

Anything I should look out for? Has 57k miles on it, drives nice, has lots of goodies. Cloth seats though. Tires look new, 1 owner, no accidents.

Was getting dark when I got home , so the pictures are a bit bad..

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
It’s a 2020? 1.5L? 57K miles?

It’s a crapshoot as to if it will need an engine or a trans first.

it has the 2.0. I have heard enough horror stories about the 1.6 L to not want anything to do with it...

Here is the link, probably will be gone soon:

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Keeping in mind that I retired in 2017, we had very little trouble with Edges and we sold a bunch of them.
I'll take it if you decide you don't want it- you know, just to help out.

Oh, nevermind, it’s an Edge not an Escape. The 2.0l is a solid drivetrain.

just hit 71,000 miles on our 2019.
great car, love it.

friendly advice:
if you ever turn traction control off then floor it while turning at low speed you had better be damn fast with corrective steering.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

I haven't tried to powerslide, yet. I would venture a guess that skilled drivers can powerslide a FWD.
mine's AWD. the front wheels when turned sharply at full power can pull the front end around faster than you can
even think about reacting. the turbo wham has a lot to do with that.
I only tried it once. :icon_surprised:

the 2.0 is an awesome engine. we had it in an 18 escape and my son's focus st has it and that engine is a rocket. the smaller one, the 1.5 or 1.6, is also fairly quick but to small for the escape and would be terrible in the edge. we also had that engine in our 14 and 15 escapes.
