Ok, for those that know, I have SVT as my main wheeling rig, and its been under the knife for a while now. A while back I had my 96 lowrider ranger, and I'm thinking of converting it to a wheeler. Here are the last pics I have of it to refresh some of ya'll's memories...

Currently the truck has no axles front or rear, has no trans (but was a 5 spd), and a stock 2.3L with about 190K, and the front bumper and grille guard are off (grille guard long gone) Plans are FW 44 and 9" (rear spool, front lunch box, not sure on gears at this point), either rebuilding the 4 banger and adding supercharger (M90 from early 90's t-bird SC) or turbo (IHI from late 80's tbird) or swapping in a 4.0L with 4 banger gears, definitely a doubler (1350 reduction box with either a 50 rear with 54 front output, D300 or possibly toy rear case) shortening WB to same driveshafts front and rear, and most likely a tube bed. Going to keep as low as possible, major fender cutting with either 35's or 37's (whatever I find when the time comes). I will repair the 2k explorer front end as I already have all the parts to fix it. This build will be a 2012 fall build, plans to start the build won't start til august at the very earliest. This is just what I was thinking of doing so far, give me your opinions for this project, it will be a budget build, but what would you change/do??

It'll either be a backup wheeler, or a wheeler for the gf. Plus this one won't be upgraded to tons or bigger. Going to stick to the plans, keep it a relatively light rig and once its done, it's done.

What axle would you pick? I picked the 9 cause its matched to 44, both are coming from the same truck
