so i was down at table rock Missouri at my dads cabin near Branson and i was on my way back from getting beer and food for the week and the passenger rear tire decided to fall off the road so i slow down to 25 30 and go to pull back on and the tire hits a hole on the side of the road and turns the truck to the other side of the road towards a cliff and trees so i through the wheel as hard as i can to correct to stay on the road in this process the truck slid side ways down the road for about 5 feet and then the hot tires caught the hot pavement and sent the truck into the air to only land on it roof and then slide in to the ditch...... this all happened with in 60 to 70 yards and i was in such a hurry to get it back on all fours and out of there before it caused another accident that i didn't get a pic of it upside down but heres some pics of the truck when we towed it back to the cabin........

I would have just tossed another cab on there.... I guess you could still graft a cab and pillars onto what you cut off. :icon_confused:

Needs more triangulation.

Sorry to hear about the incident but I'm glad you're alright.

It's good to see you making lemonade out of the lemon life handed you. It looks good!

Is this the one where you used conduit to make the cage? :fie:

Yikes. I would get some real tubing on there.

You did good, just remember to use the correct materials. (and more triangulation :icon_thumby:)

thanks guys!!! the reason im not putting a new cab on the truck is i need to drive it for school now and that the truck has 200k on it and i don't feel like wasting the money on this truck any more but save up and get a new truck.......so the plan for this thing after i get a new one is cut all the cab away and take the fenders off and make a full cage and do a solid axle with 37's and only be able to drive it off road...... but then i wont be doing it cheaply out of conduit and be using 2inch steel tubing 3/16 wall or bigger .......

Try 1.75" with a bare minimum of 1/8" wall anything less would be like trusting your life to swing set. The shape looks cool but seriously also make sure the cage is on the FRAME its pointless.
