my 01 was leaking coolant. One of the bolts snapped. Anybody know, offhand, what the length and pitch is for the three bolts that hold the housing onto the intake manifold? None of the stores have replacement bolts; I have to go match mine to their bulk bolts.

For the V6~4.0L~SOHC, believe these are the 3 Bolts connecting TStatHousing to the EngineBlock:
~ M6*1.0*75 = Metric6mmDiam * 1.0mmThread * 75mmLong
~ 3each FordMotorCraft# AllThread M6*1.0 cut in ~85mm lengths, each with a couple of JamNuts & a Washer, works if you can't get proper bolts.
SAE 1/4*20 Bolts\AllThread (common in hardware stores) is slightly larger but close to M6*1.0; may need to tap out hole.
AntiSieze\Vaseline on the bolt tips for the next poor bas'ard working on the TStatHousing.

Click here for info on swapping from JunkPlasic TStatHousing to an improved Aluminum version.

If your wrecking yard is convenient that might be a good place to start

When mine gave up the ghost I had the shit luck of the front bolt breaking off about an inch above the block. It was totally seized (tried penetrants, new vice grips, etc.) What worked was welding a nut on top of the broken stud and backing it out slowly. I was so happy to see that bolt start moving

Make the first weld count since you really have limited attempts before it's gone. Weld the biggest nut that will sit on the bolt so you have more room for weld. It will come out, it is coming out.
