continued...

Water pump, wasnt sure if the studs were in the right place. Still not exactly sure.

Painted! Glass beaded valve covers, and intake. I know chrome usually looks good, but the way all of the aluminum on this motor matches, I personally think it looks awesome.

The FMX which im in the process of working on.

And finally the car. It will need paint, bad. But if i can ever get it driving i will be happy. Then ill slowly take care of the chrome and paint it. Not much to the eyes but i like it. Its got the pony interior also.

Removing everything to paint the engine bay

And just for fun, here is my project for my dad. Its a 49 Ford 8BA flathead that will someday be in a 49 F-1 thats been sitting forever.

At this point we are trying to remove the valve assemblies.

Front crossover exhaust. All of the water pump pulleys, alt, and fan would spin like they were new. the motor turns over easily. Supposedly only had 50k miles on it with no rebuilds, but a repaired crack we found says otherwise.

Its difficult to see, but it starts in the cyl. and goes up and over to the left hand valve seat. At the seat it looked like it had been welded, so we think it may be ok.

A dent..

My boat my uncle gave to me, for free.

My friends girlfriends dads mustang. And my gf standing next to it

The casting date code is located just above the block casting number. First is a number, then a letter and two more numbers.
Both numbers located rear passenger oil pan rail, pink circle in picture.

haha a no go sleeper, yeah i think ill continue lol. Yeah sixty over is actually a lot, and if had been my motor when it was done i would have gone that far, but like i said i got the motor for free so i went with it. Ill just go easy on it. The date read E0AE, if i remember correct. I figured the 24/80 was just another form of the date but not sure. The other mustang is actually a replica, but you would be hard pressed to tell, everything down to the fender cobra tags are on there, with the cars id stamped in it. Its a beautiful car. An original roll bar, wheels, and all kinds of other stuff. 427 ci i think. Its awesome. With the suspension i think ill only be able to afford some 1" drop springs and a 1" sway bar. Ill probably get a sway bar for the rear also, and of course all new shocks. Hopefully i will be done with the engine bat soon, and be able to get the brakes done and clean and undercoat the bottom.

Looking good. I had a .060 over 302 block in my Ranger before I went with the 347, and never had any problems with it. And I like your choice on the alum. over the chrome

That is a pic of the 347 I have in it now(.040 over, Lunati VooDoo cam, 68 heads, topped with Pro-Jection). Keep up the good work on yours, and kep us updated.....

My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
good looking mustang (I mean straight and no rust) I want a reproduction 68 fastback so i can retrofit all 2008 saleen stuff into it. right down to the interior and the airbags. wont be long until there is a few wrecked Saleens in the junk yards

Love the 302. When my 4.0 goes up a 302 will be shoved in. Nice work.
