the numbers i have are
1940
5995 its on every part of the rifle
38ru3
None of those are mfg. codes, so I can't figure out a manufacturer. The 1940 could possibly be the date of manufacturer, leaving 7 possible manufacturers. The 5995 should be the serial number. I don't know what the 38ru3 is, where was it located? But like I said before, the front part of the scope mount covers the mfg. code, and should be where the date is also.

If he doesn't mind you pulling the scope and mount off, pull that and I could at least get you a mfg name, location, and possibly the exact date it was made.

Here is a shot of my gun...not real obviously
Its a Classic Army M4/A15 full metal and real markings and serialized and I know I have more money in it then the real one, but this one is just oh so fun-450-500fps with .25 20 bb's per second about. The scope is never used, mainly just looks. The flashlight is 600 lumens, it lights the woods up plenty. :)

My other gun is a Stoeger M2000 Semi 12ga with pistol grip and real tree...no pics

I have a Cotter & Company Westpoint Modell 33 .30-30. From what I've learned its the cousin model of the Marlin 336 made from 68-71..correct?

I'll get pics when I can

Cotter & Company is a "store brand" gun, but still made by the major manufacturer. Your model 33 is actually a Marlin 336C, but under a store brand name. If that makes sense...

EDIT: Ok, the model 33 was from 1966-70 with a total 7,289 units made. It was probably sold at a True Value store.

ok, thats about as much as I've learned. Which is kinda weird because there's no mention of marlin anywhere on the actual rifle but w/e, whatever floats the boat lol. It prolly isn't anything of great value is it?

Depending on condition and buyer, possibly $600, give or take. Don't quote me on that though.

I'd say it is, considering new marlin 336's will run you about $250+. You can say you own a gun that most people don't have, and probably never heard of. It's unique to say the least, not too many were made. Not extremely popular amongst collectors, yet it holds it's value. In this case, it's "true value" is in the eye of the beholder.

Here's my deer rifle (sorry for the crappy pics but my camera is broken)
Sako .243... Swarovski scope... and I keep forgetting what barrel it has... it'll come to me.

The joke is that I just hold it up in the woods and the deer will just come to it.
I wouldn't trade this rifle for anything :D

I can't believe that no one here has posted a pic of a Browning Auto 5 12 gauge. I have a Browning A2000 and an Ithaca 37 featherweight 20 ga. Pics to follow...
