anyone know where i can fond a set of the "adaptors"? jcwhitney no longer list them and i need a set for a company car project i am building. or alternatively a way to make 5 x 4.5 drw... email me at tracychad@bigpond.com

Would an exploder 8.8 work better than a 7.5. I am thinking of making My own camper out of a ranger. And I was thinking of the dually for better control. And small 10 ply tires. Like 215s or something

I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
Company called Wheel Adapter, makes em for full size, but they also advertise they make custom applications. Maybe inquire as to a set for your Ranger.
I do remember that using those simple long studs/spacers had problems...caused rear wheel bearings to give out due to the excessive load on a light weight rear axle.
Back when some companies used the Toyota platform for some class c motor homes, the companies used a dual rear wheel conversion set up, but don't know what they used. But many are still on the road today, so they must have worked well.

Thanks, I’ll check.

I won’t be doing any heavy work with it, it’s just a toy. I’ve had a bunch of these kinds of ridiculous toys and I rarely drive them more than 500 or 1000 miles a year & never push them too hard, until someone else just has to have it. When that happens, I always make sure I inform the buyer of any concerns, but they’re usually just playing like me.

If you are doing it for the look, no problem. Just don't do it expecting additional load capacity.

I found one possibility for adaptors, not cheap and you really dont gain much other than the “look”. The jc whitney kit was discontinued long ago.
