My credo
If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
It’s a 92 with no box and no transmission. (5spd man)

Have to pick it up in a couple days..we’ll, after Christmas I guess now.

I see the sla front end it weaker than the ttb and harder to lift.. talk about going backwards...but for a flat of beer...
Are you sure that one is a 92 and not an 02? I foresee a solid axle swap.....

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Buddy just called, it’s a 2009.
I’m hoping 4:10’s or even 3:73’s.
I think I had 2002 stuck in my head because my friend picked up a 02 dodge 1500 to replace the 2010 silver one I posted earlier.

It’s a 2007 and it’s an open 3.73. (I’ll weld it anyway so open doesn’t matter)
It’s... an automatic! Blah!

So, fixed the cab on the donkey and filled the windows with plastic. With the cab straight (ish) the windshield fit the hole again so I just silicones it in place.

Now the bad news, out snow wheeling and jumping from drift to drift... I put the front left spring through the spring perch.🤬
Man I hate rust.(couldn’t of been that hard landing...)
Cut it off flush with the frame, more frigging work.

I so want to build my own strut front end but it can’t be down that long and I have to get to work on the mustang.

What tubing is your exoskeleton made of? (Diameter? Wall thickness? Is it DOM?) If that bent and allowed damaged to the cab, I want to do better when I build stuff for my truck.

I’m going t take the spring perches off the 150 frame and put them on the donkey. I’m using the front springs anyway so these perches will fit the springs better too.

Actually the tubing never moved/bent. It rolled in sand with some random rocks. The rollbar sunk into the sand and the sand pushed against the windows/cab causing the damage. If it would of been solid ground the cage would of taken the weight of the truck and the cab would of been ok.

Tubing is mostly dom 1 1/2” but there is some 1 3/4” too. I had a bunch from a race car build and used whatever I had laying around.

Ok, cut the perch off the 150 frame, was going to shorten it to place the top closer to the frame to jack it up some. Of course that means when I get one side done I’d have to cut the other side too...

Said heck with it, fix one side and get back on the trails.
The 150 has a flat spring perch but the ranger has a bump on the frame so I had to slice and dice to get it to fit.

Pics in a bit (got bad service here)

Drilled some holes and plug welded, no it’s not “pretty” but with flux core wire, it’ll hold.
