I think my cam synchro is chirping again. I've already replaced it twice. The current one is a NOS discontinued Motorcraft unit I snagged off ebay.
I am hoping its just a pulley, but it is intermittent, so I dont think running it without the belt will help diagnose.
could it be just a pulley? An Idler, or my crappy ac compressor perhaps?
Why would my cam synchro keep going bad? The first one I get because it was Dorman unit. But I thought the Motorcraft would last.
Yes Virginia, I soaked the gear in oil before assembly.
