You need to adapt that as the grill for your truck.

Here's my latest piece... by far the oldest one I have too. I just happened to see this at a thrift store for $5 and it had a heat ring so I bought it. As it turns out, it was made sometime between 1882-1902 by Columbus Hollow Ware Company - "The Columbus Hollow Ware Co. foundry was located in the Ohio Penitentiary at Columbus, and contracted with the state to use inmate labor for its production. " Pretty cool!! It's in decent shape, bottom is a bit warped, and it takes on another shape every time I cook on it. All of the really thin cast iron I have had does that, thus why I prefer the thicker cookware.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
While I don't think it's cast iron, it gets treated and used the same way. Mom got me this for Christmas. It came early. I like it.

You are going to bring this to the next Trailride right?

:)

Thats what I need. One more bulky item to pack and transport half way across the country and back.

And, NO. I am not going to transport it half way across the country and give it to one of you so I don't have to bring it home.

If you just got up early and cooked everybody breakfast with your fancy griddle we would let you take it back home...

My mother has bought me a couple pieces of Lodge Cast Iron cookware recently. She got me a 12 inch skillet for my birthday and an 8 inch skillet sometime after that. For Christmas she bought me a 5 quart dutch oven. This seems to be one that many use for baking artisan bread.

So I'm going to season this one up and try my hand at baking some bread... and maybe some peach cobbler.
