Have you seen Koenigsegg’s new motors? 330hp, 440lb-ft , 60 lbs, and very expensive...

Because it's a meme.

People routinely pay in excess of $50,000 for NFTs.

Last I checked, NFTs are literally a meme, both in concept and in practice.

I look at everyone slinging EVs the same way I look at people slinging NFTs and cryptocurrencies: if they're not con men, why the hell do all of them look and act like con men?

Yep. Don’t know about the current one but the previous generation of Colorados were made by Isuzu. Our shop truck is a Colorado. Everything about seems cheap.
The chevy luv was an actual Isuzu, marketed as a chevy. The s10/coloranyons badged as isuzus are chevys.

I think there was at least one more chevy marketed as an isuzu.. a car mabey? Idk.
Back in the early 2000's, I had a early 80's Chevy S-10 with a I4 and 5 speed transmission. That transmission had Isuzu logos on the top, bottom, and sides.
Looked like this but without the letters.

That was when I found out that Chevy was in bed with Isuzu. Before that, I had no idea.

This is my Ranger. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
There's a reason Tesla's are currently the best EV to purchase. These are the key things I think the automakers should focus on to capture the market and make truly great EV's

Supercharger network
They own and maintain the largest truly fast charging network across the country and it's massively reliable and so easy to use
Vehicle efficiency and Range
Their vehicles recharge faster and more efficiently and use the least kWh/mile of similar EV's while also consistently having longer ranges
Infotainment
Their software is great and constantly getting better

The wife saved $500 this month in gas costs. The app shows we spent $130 but I have solar so my effective cost for 5000 miles of driving was $0

If teslas are the best, then the other ones must be worse then what has been demonstrated in the videos bobby posted and other videos that are around about tesla.

Which....pretty much confirms that EV's are not really a practical replacement for real propulsion systems.

What y’all think of govt tax brakes on environmental cars? I looked it up, and there are zero fed incentives for hybrids but there are some for EV. I’m thinking the idea is to incentivize tech advancement (there’s a word for that but can’t think of it) and not necessarily for people to be greener. Does that sound right, or is it just govt being stupid?

Its the government picking winners and losers. They know EV's will not be adopted left to their own devices.

That’s my gut feeling, but they did the same for hybrids iirc. Seems to have worked in that case. Or maybe it just happened to turn out that hybrids worked and weren’t influenced at all by tax rebates… and all that happened was the rich, early adopters got a good deal on the taxpayer dime.

According to google as of 2019 hybrids make up 1.6% of vehicle sales from 99-2019. So the incentives dont really work to try and push people into stuff they dont want.
