Well, iPhone has one, now it's our turn to shine.

I went from a jailbroken iPhone 3gs to a Dell Streak 5. I recently updated to Froyo, about to hack it to run Gingerbread thanks to StreakDroid.

What do you guys have? What are you running? What apps are you using? I just got this phone a month or two ago, so I'm still adjusting to the switch from iOS to Android. Let me tell you, THIS IS MUCH BETTER! There is no way I can go back to an iPhone after seeing the light! I can't wait to root it and take full advantage of all it has to offer.

I have the HTC Inspire. I have had it about a month so I haven't rooted it yet. I had a jailbroken iPhone 3G before and I really like the iPhone. I went with Android just to see what it was like and I am not disappointed. I'm not saying it's better or worse, it's just different and I like it.

I went from my jailbroken 3GS to a Samsung Galaxy S on 2.2. I love it some of the apps I have are SPB Shell 3D, MusicBox is sweet too. It allows you to download songs right from your phone. But my favorite app is my Ranger app. Whenever I get a text message it pops up with a picture of a Ranger and shows me the message.

I want to learn to make my own app here soon, I was thinking about doing something like the Ranger app I downloaded but possibly use the trucks of TRS!

I've got a Galaxy S. I love android. I have Google TV (which is due to run Android Honeycomb) shortly!

I've been working on trying to get it to work with my stereo too. All I can say is, I'm glad I have an aux to use..

Anyone looking for a Android equivalent of Itunes should check out and download double twist. It's amazing how nice it works. Just don't pay for the airsync..You don't need it.

tapatalk-forum client. let's you view, respond to, and start new threads on a forum. it was like $3, but way faster than using the browser
chase-mobile banking
fetch it (lite)-free app that lets you text a secret code to your phone and it will ring as loud as it can
fx camera- camera effects
ringdroid- make ringtones
speed view- GPS speed reading
super task killer- select which apps to close. easier than going thru settings
zedge- different ring tone maker

Just reading this thread makes me realize how far out of the techno loop I really am...I had to go google jailbroken 3GS to find out what it was...now I know...a bit...

I had applied for a tech job doing blackberry support but failed the test miserably...I figured they were going to train me on it...not that I should know everything...but, then again...I wouldn't hire me either...for that job, anyways...lol

This is why I have an AUX input on my headunit... So I can use anything and and everything. Just say no to Apple Crippleware.

I have an original Moto Droid, had it almost a year now, love it. Use it 8+ hours a day between work and driving for playing podcasts and music.

Proud owner of a samsung captivate (att flavor galaxy s.) i'll be honest, i bought it for the screen. I've yet to see any screen of any size or application outperform a samsung screen.

As for the andriod os, i'm running 2.2 and hate it. Everything i loved about 2.1 is gone. Hopefully whatever is next will be better than froyo.

Me, I really have no desire to control it with antiquated headunit controls when the phone itself has a nice, shiny touch screen. 99% of what I listen to anyways isn't music on the phone, it's Slacker Radio and Podcasts (I use the BeyondPod app) which probably can't be controlled with the headunit anyways. Charging it would be nice but I just use a separate charger.
