I'm finishing up a 68 coupe I've been working on for a friend since May. It's a 289/C4 car that he's going to ship to Arizona for winter use. I replaced the sloppy, designed-for-the-51-model, non integral power steering system with a Borgeson integral box and I'd highly recommend you do the same. The Borgeson unit is quicker- 2 1/2 turns, lock to lock- and actually has road feel, not to mention it has many less places to leak. You'll need a manual steering drag link, pitman arm, and idler arm. I bought the hose kit Borgeson has and reused the Ford pump, I did have to make an adapter to hook the pressure hose to the pump. They have a Saginaw pump and bracket kit if you want. It's already somewhat of a restomod so pretty much just a driver, with an overdrive trans it'd probably do decent on gas even with a mild cam and GT350 heads... and the Hooker headers that are on it, already has granada front brakes, just needs a brake booster to help out if I can find a small one to fit in there...
The brake pedal is different with and without power brakes, I had to get an adjustable master cylinder pushrod to get the manual brake pedal down to 7" off the floor where it belonged.
