I have noticed lately a audible Tap coming from the right front brake. It doesn't do it every time, just when i have to apply it more rapidly. I have had the brake caliber off and on to check if all was intact and it was fine. I apply the brake grease where needed and reassembly. After a few times on the brake and it starts again. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Dirty

Did you try new caliper hardware? New anti rattle clip?

So does it do it at a dead stop? Or are you hearing this under moderate-hard braking/slowing down?

I'm kind of at a loss if it's option 1... something loose in the pedal assembly/booster/master cylinder?

Option 2, I would be looking at your radius arm bushings. I have seen a bunch of them blown out inside where you can't really see... I've also seen a lot of cracked crossmembers. Maybe remove the nut/washer/bushing assembly off the back side and inspect it closely.

Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
And another thought, for what it's worth . . .

After a recent brake job, I had a noticeable, even loud, "clunk" noise from my fronts when I braked. I had had the rotors turned, and noticed that the finish looked grooved, not perfectly flat. Going over the rotors with a die grinder and sanding disc took most of the grooves out, and almost made the noise go away. A new set of rotors completely fixed the problem.

Give 'yer balls a tug. Fight me.
If you push the gas and brake all the way to the floor simultaneously while driving, your truck will take a screenshot.
