Taking longer to start?

No way around it. It needs to be changed. I went to harbor freight in gautier today and bought some goodies for our shop gator.

What is the typical idle rpm for the 3.0

750 or so warmed up in park

mine idles around 900 rpm. its just a tad shy of the "1" digit on the gauge so I'd say around 900. mine is a 99 3.0 if that makes a difference for you. I would replace the fuel pump and go from there. It wont hurt anything to replace it. If it dropped to 10 psi then I would suspect the fuel pump for sure. Mine was doing that crap last summer and I replaced everything but the fuel pump only to end up replacing the fuel pump and then problem solved.

Well I got the Fuel Pump but I am 3.5 hours away from the house with no tools so I am praying I make it home Friday.

Well replaced the fuel pump and the pressure is holding a little above 30 psi.

Engine idling should be around 30-40 psi. So you should be good. It should seem like a different truck now.
