Pay attention to details. Quality is not expensive, it is Priceless!
Hello Body Forum, this is my first attempt asking for help and hope I am in the right forum. I have looked estensively on line for the tailgate hinge inserts. Auto part stores don't seem to have the right fit. Ebay and Amazon don't seem to have the right fit. I have measure my Ranger and have a good idea of the part dimensions. After market companies like Dorman don't seem to have what I want for my 1989 Ranger, Ext. Cab, 2 WD, 2.9L V6. I found the support cables but not the hinge inserts. Can someone help me find them?

Hello RonD, thank you for the link. I needed parts # 13, just the hinge liners. I did place the order and trust they will fit, although dimensions are not given. The price was fair $20 included the $6 shipping. Looks like a good source for future parts. Sold my beautiful Red Pepper with Blackout Trim Pkg. 2019 Ranger. Working from home now so it was just sitting. An expensive driveway ornament. No more car payments. I now own a 1999 and a 1989 Ranger. One in Arkansas and the 89 in Illinois. I am not going to restore them, or build them, just make them nice, maybe sell them for a profit a little down the road. I could not believe the cost of decent used trucks. I got these two at a pretty low cost and am having fun making them drivable again. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT TIP.

I have a 1988 ranger that I need tailgate hinge inserts for and like you cannot find any to fit or any information on them. If you noticed on LMC description it noted (89-92) on the hinge inserts. So I am unsure if they will fit the 88 but one would think they would. Did they fit for yours? Thank you!

Hello GingerKing13, I did not see your question right away, as I do not look daily, and missed any alert to my email. The part I ordered from LMC did fit. The package had extra pieces, so it is not an exact OEM replacement. It is a kit, likely for multiple vehicles, but cup shaped parts did work on my 99 Ranger. The price was higher compared to Ebay and Amazon, but reasonable. I took a chance, but to me it was worth not having to return the wrong item and wait for a refund.
Best wishes, let me know how it works out.
