Tach in 1988 Ranger?

I have a 1988 2.9L 4x4 Ranger . Was hoping someone could inform me if there was a wire on the gauge cluster harness or fuse in the fuse panel that i could hook my RPM wire to ??? Any ideas???

You need to run the green RPM wire through the firewall and hook it up to the coil. Good luck finding a wire to connect the tach power (red) wire to. Everything on this website says a power wire that doesn't have power unless the ignition is on. Thats as good as those instructions get.
