Has anyone put one of those swing case boxes in a 2008 body style? I can't seem to find one specific to the truck so I wondered if another truck is similar enough in size to just fit. Maybe a Tacoma or something.

Got one on my '88. Don't see why it wouldn't bolt up to an '08 since it only attaches to the inner top lip of the bed. Hint: Put a piece of 2x4 under it so it doesn't sag from the weight of tools.

Hey, I was wrong. Should have looked more closely at photos. My toolbox doesn't 'swing' away from the bedside, it's stationary; held with four bolts on the inside of the passenger side top bed lip. Shape is similar to those in photos in that it has a deep area but narrows up to go over the wheel well. I've never seen one in person like the ones in above photos.

The inside of the bed is the same for all the rangers, beside the newest ones. So if you find one listed for an older model it should still fit.

I concur. From 2011 on back, the inside of the bed is the same. Thus why my 2011 and my previous 1998 had that extra hump in the floor for the second fuel tank that was never an option for either model year.

I sent an email to swingcase asking if the have anything. I also offered to give the dimensions to see if they have any cross reference cases. Maybe they got something.
