My '05 B4000 SE 4WD does not have rear sway bars. The truck rolls in corners a bit more than I would like but will adding a rear swaybar be too much? My concern is it will give a stiffer ride but I will lose alot of traction especially in the winter..
Mine had no effect on ride but made a massive difference on handling.

If it is a concern it will negatively effect articulation off-road.

On the straight and level, they have no effect on ride quality. The bar rotates in the bushings on the frame or axle as the vehicle responds to road irregularities. In corners, when the bar is loaded up (it's a torsion bar you know?), the ride can be a little stiffer. One side is pushing down on the end link, the other side is pulling up on the end link. So the bar is loaded. But I wouldn't have my truck without them, front or rear.

Sway bars are silly. It's like taking the loopty loops out of a roller coaster... If you don't like twisting and turning upside down stick to the lazy river!

The Torsen rear axle I removed from an '04 Level 2 did not come with a rear sway bar.
