Hey all,

currently getting my heads tested for cracks and leaks at the shop..
In the mean time, I'm searching for new heads in case all else fails.
My Ranger has a flex fuel system in it, I was curious to know if I could bypass the system and go with just gas heads instead of the flex fuel heads as they're interchangable.
I do know I can't do 50/50 gas and flex fuel, they both would need to be gas or flex.

It's my first time rebuilding the top end of the engine so all and any advice would be appreciated.

It doesn't matter. Originally, the flex fuel heads had a slightly different combustion chamber shape. By the early 2000s, Ford quit using the special heads, and all 3.0s (whether flex fuel or not) got the same casting. Using regular gas heads shouldn't have any impact on your ability to use flex fuel.
