I'm working on my 99 ranger had a 3.0 automatic....well I've pulled that out and shoehorned a 74' 351w with a 1980 aod trans everything is in factory mount but my driveshaft seems a little short I can only get a couple inches in trans is there anything I can do or will I need a new driveshaft?

You can run a driverahaft spacer on the rear-end, ran them on foxbodys with a blower no issue.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
I had a machine shop make me a driveshaft to my measurements.

CCI Driveline, Inc. in Casco, MI. 48064 made mine. Really good work and way cheaper than other quotes I got! And fast too!

Possibly convert the front joint to double-cardan vs single u-joint? That should a few inches of length to the driveshaft.
