Supercrew with a 6’ bed!

I know you guys at Ford don’t want to lose sales on the F-150, but you should really make the Supercrew available with the 6’ bed. I’ll buy in a couple years. 5’ is just plain silly. No offense.

Lol, you can put a bag of mulch in a 5' bed. Did you think people buy trucks to haul things? Next time you're driving around look at how many newish trucks (not work/fleet vehicles) have anything in them.

I also would like a Supercrew with a 6'

I don't care what others do or don't do, I would appreciate having a longer bed.

I can't even find a SCab with the 6' bed in western Canada...

Short bed on manual Taco is what kept me from buying from them..

Try putting lumber, a ladder or a couch in that shorty bed.

Yes, I'm well aware of that problem - I bought my Ranger to use as a truck to haul stuff for working on our place. I just doubt that's what most trucks are used for.

Part of the reason why I have a cap and a roof rack on my Ranger. A 13' canoe doesn't fit in the truck very well otherwise.

A cap and homemade racks on mine too. And a support that fits the front receiver for extra long stuff

To each his own.
I like my Ranger Scab with 6.? bed but there have been a lot of times I needed a lot more bed. My F150 has 5.5' bed but I wish it was the 6.5'.

I’ve hauled 14’ lumber in my 7’ bed. When something is placed in the bed, on top of the tailgate and on an angle sideways, you get about 7.5+’ of bed. With these new Ranger beds being deeper, it’s probably an inch or two more. But 5.7’ just isn’t enough for me. 6’ on a Supercrew Ranger would suffice. Tailgate down would probably be close to 8’. And how about the space between the wheel wells on the new Rangers? Can I fit a 4’ by 8’ piece of plywood or drywall flat in there?

I’m willing to beg Ford in a couple years to build me a Supercrew 6’ box. My uncle knew someone who bought a Chevy van about 15 years ago and it was at s time when Chevy no longer offered the sliding side door. He complained to Chevy that the two swing open doors weren’t doing it for him and Chevy custom built him a sliding door. Why would Ford not give me a 6’ bed?

The biggest glitch is Ford has never made a T6 supercrew with a 6' bed... so it wouldn't be an easy thing to slap together. Both frame and driveline would have to be drastically altered.

Thats why you save yourself 20 or 30 grand and buy an older long (7ft) box truck.

I really do not care to know how much my 7' box truck has cost me...

I already have a 7' bed truck, and a trailer made from one which is why the 5' bed isn't a dealbreaker. A 6' bed would sure be nice though.

99% of the miles are driven with nothing in the bed. Short bed 4 doors are the most poplar trucks today. Lots of ways to carry long loads in a short bed truck if you ever need to.
