Haha. I know. I figured I'd ask though. I'm looking for an inline electric fuel pump to power the 97 2.3 with EFI in the LJ. Has anybody found one in a pinch that will work? I was wondering also about the high pressure pump from an 83-88 ranger, can I run just that, or do I still need the lift pump in the tank? I was thinking about junk yard hopping this weekend, so looking for some ideas for some to look for, The list I have so far is the vw rabbits, the 83-88 ranger frame mounted one (if it'll work standalone), or the E2000? from 80s ford vans? doesn't seem like it'd be too common around these parts. They all become sheds when they die. :icon_rofl:

Any suggestions?

Those are for carb'd vehicles, they only pump out 7-9 psi. EFI needs 40-45. :icon_thumby:

You have to have the lift pump. Cant just use the high pressure one. Go to the junk yard and find one and bring a 12 volt sorce to test it out.

This has got to be the most genious post I have ever read. That's exactly why I'm trying to find a cheap ALTERNATIVE to the in tank pump. :icon_idea:
