Suddenly no Spark?

Hey guys, I have a 1993 4.0 with about 93,000 miles on it. Anyways, it has always had a little missing problem ever since I bought it, however the other day the problem went away completely for almost two days and te truck ran better than ever. All of a sudden, when I was shifting from 1st to 2nd, it just quit and wouldn't restart. My first thought was fuel, so I checked the pump and it's pumping and pressurizing prior to start, and the filter is clear. I pulled the plugs however, and there's no spark at all. What could cause this and where should I look to get this thing back on the road ASAP since it's my daily driver? Thanks for any suggestions!

hey man,
my truck had similar problems. it would just quit and wouldn't start for a while. sometimes it took 5 minutes and sometimes 5 hours before it would start back up. I tried fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure sender, the ignition module that your plug wires hook up to... after about 500$ worth of parts trying to figure out the problem i saw a post on here about an engine control module (i believe its called that) anyways its is one of those cube shaped fuses in the fuse box under your hood (your manual should tell you which one it is.) I replaced mine and it hasn't had a problem in over a year now so i am assuming that was it. just take it to your local auto store and they should be able to get it for you. oh and it was a 10$ fix good luck man

yeah, sorry i left out the relay part...but yes it was the relay
