Stubborn crankshaft pulley

Does anyone know a good way to remove a crankshaft pulley from an early 2.3 that has no holes other than the center hole. The bolt has been removed but it is very stubborn. I am used to using a puller that attaches to threaded holes in the pulley. I am not going to use the pulley because i wanted to use a serpentine pulley so, can i heat the pulley? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Heat, penetrating oil, since you’re not re-using the pulley, you could throw a 3-jaw puller on it.

That's not a crank pulley I've ever seen...

yeah, and while you have pressure on it, tap it around the circumference with a hammer. You'll probably have to put the crank bolt in and push on that but you probably already figured that out.

In the antique bus scene, we use heat and paraffin wax. I thought it was a dumb idea the first time I heard it, now I have a little chunk of wax on stand by, at all times.

Drill and tap a couple holes. If there isn't enough meat to tap then use bolts and nuts with your puller.
