maybe you can get some cheap e30 m3 fiberglass fenders and use those?
good idea, im thinking some deeper dish american racing baja wheels with some sport tires, idk just yet

Been done before to cover wide tires or a dually conversion. Mounted style side bed sides on a flare side bed tub. Both short beds of course. The better version I've seen had the "steps" deleted.

I've kind of thought about doing the opposite to make a first gen style side. There was third party that made them, a few people here have one, but rare as hens teeth. Hard part would be fabbing up some dually style fenders to match.
