My credo
Fortune Favors the Brave
Sup guys, As you know I have a SAS'd Ranger. This truck is my pride.
But I can't deny I'm a sucker for street cars, and for one in special: Ford Mustang.

There is a black 99 that seems to be in decent condition. and they ask around $4250 for it. exactly what I paid ofr my Ranger bone stock.
Only down side is: V6 auto.

For the cost of gas down here I'd be cool with a v6. I bet my Ranger is heavy enough to have the same mpg of a v6 Mustang.
And the auto trans...

So... I will go take a look at it tomorrow, and see if I can get an even trade for it. no cash, just truck vs car.

If it has the conditions I expect, and they can trade it even or for a little cash... I could consider it.

Dont hate me

Don't do it, especially not for a V6 Mustang. Either buy that one outright and expect to spend some money to be happy with it, or wait for a good deal on a V8 to come along. Even if you do find a V8, I still say keep your Ranger too.

Keep the ranger, I've seen a 4cyl manual ranger beat a v6 auto mustang off the line. Save up for a GT at minimum.

Don't do it RSH. With the work you put into the truck a v6 stang wouldn't be a big downgrade. At least get a v8 if you're going to do it

Sent from the think n' stink.

The only V6 Mustang I would own is a 4.0 stick. The 3.8 is a dog in that car and not any better when you put an auto-tragic in it.

besides the fact that it is slow-you guys say the 3.0 ranger is slow, while i consider it fast...
Is there any common mechanical issue??

But im just going to look at it and see what deal they might offer. its not like im dead set on this. Tomorrow that i drive the ranger again i could forget about it and thats it.

I'm assuming it's a 3.8L and not a 4.0.

The 3.8s warp heads. A lot. I don't think I've ever seen a RWD one that didn't do it before 100,000 miles.

Yeah the 3.8's were as close to garbage as you're going to get. I still to this day wonder why Ford put those bolts so wide apart from each other.

NO, NO NO! I won't trade my Ranger. It's gas thirsty, slow, noisy and rides rough. But Its my love and pride. Built Tough indeed.

I better save and buy a Mustang without trading.
For my 30th birthday I think I could make it happen LOL

Well the 3.8l is supposed to be garbage but i have 230,xxx trouble free miles on mine, but i wouldn't want one in a mustang.

I thought you wanted to enter your truck for September's Off Road Truck of the Month since it was tricked out with SAS & 4WD-
