Having seen people talk about a larger max tire size without a lift (31-32" vs. 30-31"), I would assume 3rd-gens are a bit taller. I'd wait for someone with a newer service manual.

It would also be nice if someone with access to a stock truck could sanity-check my numbers--see if they're reasonable "examples" or just completely made-up. Even if we give the 2wd truck a 26" ride height, for example, I'm only calculating ~2" of fender gap over stock tires. That feels low to me.

If the other guys with manuals can let me know what section of theirs has the dimensions, I can double-check mine. I'm not seeing them in the intro, in the back, or in body/frame/suspension, but body is like 150 pages long and I'm just skimming through.

i think 2" is low for space above the wheels.
