Still can't decide which new shocks for 2010 Ranger

All Fox shocks are rebuildable and the first re-valve is free, the last ones you will ever buy. There are shocks and there are shocks~ Seems everything has a nitrogen charge these days. With that you will see an boost in performance & average ride height. "Gas" charged shocks sees like the only type available & operate in a non linear fashion. Some folks want to level out their suspension, just an idea, unsolicited as may be.

For what it's worth, I had a new set of KYB shocks setting around for a couple of years to go in my '75 Ranchero. Once installed, they were awful. I don't know if it was from setting so long or what. Replaced with Monroe shocks and have remained happy.

However, I put KYB's in my '02 Ranger a few years back and remain happy with them. So who knows.

I installed KYB Excel-G shocks on my 2wd Ranger in 2017. I think they are a good stock replacement. They need to be replace again and I can't decide between Excel-G or the Gas-a-Just shocks. I'm not finding much in the way of reviews for the latter on Rangers.

I remember "Gabriel adjustable E" with a 1-5/8ths piston, they were the stuff, these days everything is gas pressurized. At 80kmi some $100 Bilstien shocks on each corner (my '13 F150) have turned out great. Yes, comes with a 2" lift. Floating piston inside a floating piston. Really smoooth ride. On/ off road.
