Do any other ford 'wheels fit a ranger? Are they even interchangeable year to year on just rangers? I don't really care about the airbag or even the horn working. Mine is kinda crusty i may swap it out with a pull a part unit.

I’ve thought about swapping out the whole column, would be a lot of work but that’s one way to do it.

What year is your truck? That would help a bunch.

97. I was wondering if anything else fit, factory wise. My local pull a part has a ton of 2000-2009 explorers, expeditions, mustangs, taurus & ect. Saw an '05 mustang last weekend with a really nice silver/black steering wheel that would look great in the ranger.

I doubt an 05 would work.

Looking at 97 ranger wheels, im thinking youre pretty limited to 94-97 Mustangs, explorers, and crown victorias. Even aerostars used the F series "brick" wheel.

its a shame they didnt keep the same spline shaft over the years, I have a steering wheel from a old mustang, ‘69 I think. would be nice to use it. started to take the wheel off my ‘94, thought at least the ‘97 ranger wheel would work. well the shaft looks like its just round bar, flattened on two opposing sides, the ‘97 wheel has splines. was a weird weight held on by the bolt that secured the steering wheel to the shaft. Havent pulled the wheel off yet, need to figure out where my puller is
