Steering stabilizer help...

I bought a skyjacker stabilizer for my '93 ranger and the instructions are vague at best. The picture they have is probably the 300,000th one they've ran off and is black as night, lol. I don't even think its a pic of my application or even close. I was wondering if anyone could help with where to place my frame/crossmember bracket. It says to place it on the frame, but there isn't any holes (I'm aware that I may have to drill, which isn't a problem) and the supplied bolts are nowhere near long enough to go through the frame. Pics would be awesome!!

This is a pic of a parts b-II that had a stabilizer on it. As you can see, it's attached to the beam. The other end is attached to the steering with u-clamps from what I can see from the wear marks.

I'll have to see if that will work. I wonder if it would cause the shock shaft or threads to bend via articulation.. Thank you very much alwaysFlOoReD!

Looks lke the steering must be turned all the way to the left in order to mount the stabilizer...but I'm a "2 wheeler" just guessing.......

Maybe my kit is wrong. It did say '93-'97 on the receipt though...The bracket is straight and won't bolt onto my d35 like in the pic. I just can't find anywhere to mount the bracket. I'll just have to try harder.

Why do you think you need a stabilizer? You got bumpsteer? Frontend all loose?

Typically a stabilizer is used to "cover up" symptoms of a frontend issue, and is why I ask.

Your right in questioning my "need" for a stabilizer. I don't actually need one. I do NEED to fix my geometry (drag link is about two inches raised from parallel when on the ground) I just can't afford an FA600 at the moment. Also, through tightening my wheel bearings last night, I found out that I need to replace my ball joints. The pass. side is the only one that is loose, but thats more than enough to be uncomfortable with. Oh, I also need to get an alignment, lol. So, really, I just got the stabilizer for the hell of it. Any other ways to fix my geometry that you know of?

You only have four options to fix your geometry.

1) Skyjacker Extreme drop pitman arm $200
2) Modded SuperRunner Steering kit $466 or less if you find one used
3) Expensive custom swingset steering setup $2000
4) Lower your lift height to flatten out your tierods $??? Free, cheap or cost of new/used coils

Yeah, thats what I figured. As cool as the superunner and stonecrusher setup is, I think I'm just gonna have to go with the skyjacker pitman. Music and my Ranger are my hobbies. Right now, music is the main priority. I just spent about a grand on the truck lifting and such. Music time!
