Hello everyone,

It's been a long time since I took my explorer apart to swap into my bronco 2. I have had the starter wire just resting on the frame because I couldn't remember exactly how it went. I was wondering if any OHV owners could help me place these wires. I suspect my frame is missing a hole or two...

This photo is from the perspective of the transmission looking forward. I am pretty sure I recall the rigid sleeve sitting on the back of the engine cross member.

This photo is taken from the perspective of the front diff looking to the passenger wheel well. I do not understand this bracket. I suspect I need to drill a hole or two in the passenger frame rail.

Yes, battery cable under the engine would be bolted to cross member

That negative cable can go there, but really should be bolted to the engine side of motor mount for starter motor and alternator ground
You can use a short ground strap from there to engine side motor mount bolt, make sure its a bare metal contact then paint over it after install

And don't forget ground strap from engine head to firewall

I have all the grounds sorted. I even had the engine running.

I'm just not sure how to make this cable sit nice. There isn't a bolt hole to use that makes this cable sit flat. Hoping someone with a 4.0 that wasn't messed with much can take photos...
