I'm replacing the spindles in the front of my RWD to give it 4", changing out shackles in the back to give it 2" in the rear. A couple questions, probably dumb, 1) do I need to buy shocks for the rear; 2) should I AAL while I install the new leaf spring shackle with 2" lift or replace the leaf spring assembly; and 3) can I add 1.5" blocks to the rear as well?

Thanks y'all

1) Probably, youll be near maxing out your stock shock with a 2 inch lift. Definitely if you AAL and a 1.5” block with the shackle.
2) If you haul stuff often then it wouldnt be a bad idea.
3) I don’t see why not.

With an extra leaf, 1.5" blocks, AND 2" shackles you will be at 4 - 4.5" of lift in the rear. Yes you will need new shocks. An extra leaf will make the truck ride stiffer so can't say I'd recommend that unless you are frequently hauling/towing alot.
