Does anyone have an Automatic ranger from 98-00 that came stock with the 245/75r16 wheels? I’d thought it’d be much easier if someone had the speedometer gear to show me so that I could just buy the same to go to the bigger rims and tires. And assuming the 3.0’s and 4.0’s have the same transmission meaning the speedometer gears would be the same, but if they’re not, specifically for a 3.0 automatic with 245’s. Or screw all that stuff and if someone has already done the silly math to find the new speedometer gear for an automatic for 31’s that’d be fantastic.

I poop in the furnace.
There is no gear, it's a VSS. You change the speed/tire setting via the computer. You can do it with forscan or a tune shop.

What Dirtman said, ‘98+ doesn’t use gears for the speedometer.
