SPEEDOMETER FORD RANGER 1994

So my truck max speed is 85 MPH but I constantly go over that on highway and track is there a aftermarket dash/ speedometer I can put in my Ford ranger 1994 if so please comment any tips or websites or anything like that

There is no speed limit that fast, so there's no reason to have a speedo going faster... unless you are racing on a course you will likely not get good feedback on most forums...

I think you can buy an convertor to create the electrical signal from the mechanical cable drive. Then you could use an aftermarket electronic speedometer. I don’t know what specific brands or models to recommend. My old 3.0l won’t go that fast unless I drive over a tall cliff in neutral.

A good phone holder with a speedometer app, or a garmin.

I use my phone and use DigiHUD app. It will keep the highest speed and uses GPS to clock speed while updating faster than most apps. It will also do triple digits for those track runs. This is the cheapest way to go.

You can build your own instrument cluster with your own gauges out of sheet metal, this is the more expensive way but you have what you want in it.

EDIT: I do not go over 70 mph in my 26 year old truck but this app will work for you.

You need to install a flux capacitor in that thing so you can go back and stop yourself from doing such silly things. Just remember to generate 1.21 giga watts or you get a speeding ticket.

There are legal places to exceed 85mph in your vehicle. Just please do it safely and legally.

You can also replace you speedometer driven gear on the transmission with the highest tooth count you can find

I think 23 tooth is the highest, but only lasts about 25k miles then you have to replace it, but 21 tooth is more common and will last much longer, this will reduce the shown speed on speedometer

Then you can calculate how far off it is, so for example, when showing 75mph you are really going 90mph
