My driver side speakers are going out, so I'd like to upgrade my speaker system with new ones. I'm using the stock head unit, which didnt come with the factory amp.

Reliable affordable speakers is what I'm after. Anyone have suggestions from experience?

Pioneer. Alpine. Rockford fosgate. Memphis. JBL. Polk. Kenwood. Sony. Infinity.

Those are just some of the good name brands. Pick any one of them. And you’ll be golden.

Now. My personal favorite for just a decent cheap upgrade. Alpine type e speakers. They sound really good for how cheap they are. Get them on amazon for under 30 a pair.

Awesome thanks for the suggestion! I just ordered pioneer speakers off Amazon, should get them tomorrow. Can't wait to have surround sound again.

My credo
If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Pick any of those brands but keep in mind that the stock unit only puts out 25 watts RMS per channel so if you are not planning on changing the head deck get a set rated for 25 watts RMS or they will sound really quiet at high volume.

I went with a set of Pioneer from Walmart rated for 380W max and 80 watt RMS with a 52 watt per channel head deck. It works great but had to get a set of 4 to make them all match and sound proper.
