I'm open to suggestions. This truck has 79,000 on it. Really good condition . Frame is 99% solid. Needs some attention at the rear springs .Common problem area

It's not normal... that 80K 4.0L OHV still has about 220K left in it if you take good care of it.

I am not giving up on my 4.0 I had a 2.9 in an other 4x and yes it was a strong motor. But... I just dont see the practicality of taking out a low milage motor that needs a bit of attention and spending way more cash and not to mention time involved just to do what? Spend money to enhance a 2.9 No
