I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
I think the slow down occurs because of Dirtman. It is directly related to his pooping in his furnace.
Every time he does, it releases an excessive amount of "poop ash" into the atmosphere. This ash cloud continues to encircle the earth for several hours.
The cloud must play havoc with satellite communications, which in turn disrupts the signals that TRS depends on.
Just a theory, but valid unless Dirtman can prove otherwise.
