I’m also back, after my 89 sport, 95 xl, and 03 Edge I went to an 03 Sport Trac to haul around the family. After that it was an unfortunate string of a Focus and two Fusions. Today I’m back with a 19 Lariat FX4.
It fits in the garage with inches to spare, inches I tell you!

I was at the dealer today pricing a Roush F-150 and they had a Ranger with the roof top tent...

How does it compare, size and utility wize, to the Sport Trac. (I know it has more power)

Little more bed and a little less cab vs a 2nd gen ST

It’s bigger on the outside, inside feels about the same but I suspect it’s a touch smaller. Not nearly as much storage room. It’s also a ton taller than a Sport Trac, I parked next to one on purpose the other day to see. I was never in a 2nd Gen ST so all my comparisons are to first gens.

This might helps some. The interior feels a little leas cramped to me. I can’t compare storage since cabs aren’t the same but based on what I’ve seen in other crew cabs, storage is sparse. The truck sits up higher so loading and unloading takes a little more work.

I had an 08 2nd gen Sport trac and was wondering how the 2019 compared to those. I know it has more power than the ST, but room inside and in the bed was what i was wanting to know.

Depends on the ST, they could be had with the 3v 4.6 too.

The bed is 5' long. About 6.5' when the tailgate is down. Some people don't like how tall the bed rail is or how deep the bed is but I do. The cab has a lot of room both front and back. I don't hit my head getting in like I do in my friends Tocoma.

I don't know anyone with a Sport Track to compare it to. From the one's I've seen in the past, I would equate it to an Explorer of the same time frame but without the bed. A former girlfriend of mine had an Explorer Sport, and that was about the same over all dimensions as my 2011 in the front, front seat, and had the same engine.
