Need some input - trying to decide if I should shorten my front bumper to only the sides of the frame rails. Basically to where the new lower plate is on my bumper.

I really wont know completely how it will look until I get the bumper remounted with the winch and roller fair head. Need some input

This is mine. It might help you visualize how it would look narrowed.
Post a picture of it on you truck. Someone might be able to photoshop it for you.

If you narrow to frame width, you will have no protection on the front corners...

rangersvt I have hit my bumper corners in the rocks before.

pic of the front of my bronco. It is different as I have moved the lights to below the light bar and the winch is going behind the bumper.

If you have hit your bumper on rocks before (IE protecting the truck and doing its job) then why are you thinking of removing the outer edges that protect your truck?? :icon_confused:

Well, fawk you too. Your mother dresses you funny and you have ridiculous hair.:thefinger:

Glad I could help. Like the others have said, with it narrowed you won't have any front corner protection. I haven't had any problems with it, but that's not to say I won't.

You could always build a second one and swap them out whenever the urge strikes you.:icon_twisted:

if it helps your decision: in my state your bumper does not need to be stock. it just needs to be as wide as stock a user on here skiboarder had to take his off because the inspectors black-listed him until he put one on that was as wide as stock

Bronco would not pass inspection. The bumper is not wide enough. I just need to make a couple of quick cheap brackets and stick the stock bumper back on. PIA, but not a big deal
