Every time I fuel the service engine soon light illuminates and disappears when a small amount of fuel is consumed. Not the typical gas cap on my 2020. Just a plunger type fueling port. Any ideas?

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
You might be overfilling. It can do something weird to the evap system and make it mad. When filling, stop when the pump cuts off automatically, the first time. Don't try to squeeze in another 1/4 gallon like I do.

I have tried that but it still triggers the light. Any idea what is being triggered? Sensor wise I mean.

There have been some issues with the filler port type system on various vehicles but it has been more of an EVAP system issue, mostly due to the port not sealing correctly.

So far, no one here has reported having any kind of issue but I'm sure they will with enough time.

Your specific issue is one I haven't hear of before but someone who has or is currently working at a dealer or auto repair shop might be able to provide some insight.
