Any verdict on the motor?

nope, i haven't had a chance to crack into the rig yet. will later today hopefully if i get a spare couple hours.

but probaly going to pull it and swap it with a running one i have sitting on the floor to get the truck running. then rebuild the one i pull out and then swap them around again for next springs driving season. this makes the most sense and ease to my way of thinking.

Hey all, thanks for the encouragement... the truck went to a good home ...... it is sitting in my driveway now ..... she will get the details and attention it deserves .... I will start a new thread about the rig and how we get her built up.

Congratulations! This is seriously cool.

One thing I'm curious about, is the Ford federal compliance sticker, on the driver door, still readable?

And is there a supplemental compliance sticker added by the conversion company?

Cool rig, but what got me here was B.C and the one I saw there. I went there with my Dad and Mom. I was 17 and they were going for a week or so and I tagged along but had a little Honda in the back, and when they went to their lodge I took off to Vancouver, a little over a hundred miles away.
Going through some mountains and a state park there I noticed a cloud drifting into the mountain and when I got there found it was sleet falling. After getting through that and still a few mountains to go before getting into the relative warmth of the Frazier River Valley I got passed by a camper (yeah, it was a small Honda ) so I got a good look at it.
The camper was on a full size pick-up and made by a fairly crafty country sort. It's been so long, and the memory has faded, but for sure it had an outer crust of Redwood shingles and a crooked little stove pipe sticking out.
That one looked like a home
