Seat swap question

So it's my understanding that 2002 and later Explorer seats won't work with Ranger seat tracks due to them being wider... Can I just take the seats and tracks from a 2002 Explorer and swap them into the same year Ranger? Yes the Ranger is an extended cab.
I'm looking at swapping due to the fact that the post the recliner handle on the driver seat broke and it looked like a previous owner had cut the driver seat.

I don’t think the mount bolt holes don’t line up and thus why most times it seems people tell the person asking to get a certain year range and swap the seat mounts.

Yes

You can cut, say 2" or 3" wide flat aluminum or steel plates to mount any seats to Ranger rails
Watch the width of seat, you will need to close the door, lol

And just a heads up, since explorers were full 4 doors the seat backs do not fold forward, at least very far, so check that
Passenger side did on explorer sports, 2 door models, don't think drivers side did
