Well I figured I would finally make a build thread after being on here for awhile now and starting to actually do some real work to it. I bought the truck on December 5, 2005 with about 84,000 on it. It was my first vehicle, it took a long time to find a 4x4 manual trans ranger and I had to have a manual trans. I guess I will list of the mods the best I can and then on to the pics. The truck is a 99 Mazda B3000 with the flex fuel 3.0.
First thing was a set of 31 in goodyear mtr’s on the stock wheels, I don’t have any pics of it on the stock wheels. Next was a set of cragar black d windows.
Then the day I got my license I got a westin light bar and some KC daylighters.
Next I discovered the world of train horns that people have been putting on truck, so I got a train horn kit that I thought was awesome, it had a small compressor and a 1 gallon tank. It was loud but the comp eventually broke and the horn was falling apart from all the salt they put on the roads. The horn was mounted in front of the passenger side rear tire in the fender well, and the comp and tank behind the seats. I also got some white faced overlays for the gauges.
It stayed this way for awhile and I did some light wheeling at places I would just find off the side of the road. I did make a trip up to yankee lake outside Youngstown Ohio once and that was enough of that place. I like mudding but not all the clean up after. Eventually the mtr’s wore out and I got a set of duratrac’s which I love. Like many I got fed up with the electric tcase not always working so I got a manual 1354. Twin sticks FTW
I wanted to have a full size spare so I made a custom rear bumper with a tire swing, its made out of 3/16 plate and 1.5 dom. My original pivot was ok for awhile but it eventually started to give out so I redid it with a piece of 1.5 in solid dom and 2 in quarter wall dom around it.

I thought I would never crank the torsion bars but I finally did after I bought a set of chevy shackles.
Custom Tcase skid made from 3/16 plate.
Since having the twin sticks my center console was useless, not that is was much better before lol. So I made one out of wood and covered it in fleece. I mounted my CB in the console too. Also I made a cheaper version of a hurst by just having a shaft like a hurst. After not having a train horn for awhile I started to build that back up again and got a 5 gallon tank, twin viar comperssors and a Nathan K3LA horn.
Somewhere along the line I decided I wanted to do a SAS and bought a 44 and 60 from a 76 f250. Last summer I realized I didn’t like the low pinion 44 so I bought a almost bare high pinion 44 out of a 78 f250. I will list my SAS parts I have collected later. 76 axles
Then I went to Bundy Hill for the first time last St. Patrick’s day and had a blast and didn’t break anything but killed my pass side rocker.
After going to bundy the first time I realized I needed some sway bar disconnects, so I made some but don’t have any pics of the first setup. I didn’t like the original setup in the front so I remade them with small rod ends and now they are much easier to disconnect. Need to get some pics of these.
Back to Bundy Hill I went in October last year and got some great body damage and flex with the disco’s.
The door still looks the same as it did right after I did that, but I did get two doors off a ranger the same color so replace the drivers and make a half door out of the messed up driver and a half door out of the jyard pass. Next came head gaskets over the winter, I could smell the coolant in the exhaust and was losing it. The heads got almost completely rebuilt and I painted some stuff ford blue while it was apart.
I had been wanting to make a front bumper to match the rear as well as a front skid plate so I finally did it over spring break this year. Its made out of 3/16 plate with ¼ mounting brackets and a Warn vr10000 winch.
Then there was the annual trip to Bundy Hill on St. Patty’s day, but did kill my optima red top while winching out Plumcrazy, but had a great muddy time. I didn’t take one picture but I took a lot of video with my gopro. I upgraded to a optima yellow top and 130 amp alt a few weeks after.
I will get more pics of other stuff but I think that’s the life of my truck up till now. My Youtube and Photobucket
