Too much light is almost never a problem, not enough light is always a problem. If you think 4 lights is enough... install 6 or even 8 of them. Make 2 banks on different circuits. If 8 is too much for what you’re working on, you can always shut half of them off.
I replaced the light fixtures in my garage with outlets, then I can just plug in what I need. And the plug in 4' LED lights have pullcord switches so I can kill them individually if needed.

Working on your back under something that doesn't block much light (like a tractor or motorcycle or something like that) you can get too much light fairly easy.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
That solves the problem of the door blowing closed. I'd want to use the rest of the enclosed space and just have an external door, though.

I would just build your own door... Make it like a dutch door and then you could have extra ventilation in the summer.

He’s talking about doors on an interior wall between two sections of the building. Personally, I would not want sliding doors for that since they would prevent hanging cabinets or installing a work bench along the wall where the doors would need to slide.
Pocket doors then? Same concept, but they slide into the section between walls, Just have to build a thicker wall to accept the doors.

Pocket doors are a good idea. They can be built into a 2x4 wall.

I have a harbor freight 20 ton press, the older orange version, and have a friend with the 12 ton who says the 12 ton is too small and it does look tiny by comparison... I don't have any serious complaints with the press I have, I know the plates aren't the best but use it accordingly, I'm not in the rust belt anyway... Most of my pressing hasn't been between the two plates so I just stack them.

Made more progress today. Moved what was left over to the other side, powerwashed, and next step is measuring/buying lumber to close in ceiling and build wall. The othe side is in total disaray at the minute, but some of the stuff (welder, air compressor, the 2 work benches, etc) are coming back to this side once its finished.

Did a (very) rough draft of finished placement today. More room then i thought, even with my 97 F250 ext cab/long box i had room to spare, hell even able to open the doors completly. I was worried itd be tight for a fullsize but seems to be plenty.

Powerwashed the floor again...pretty sure its futile at this point...whats the best way to get oil off concrete? Lol

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Try using trisodium phosphate... I’ve heard that works.
We use diesel fuel at work. Pour it on the stain. Scrub it in with an old broom. Let it soak for an hour. Then put down speedi-dry to clean it up. It works pretty good.

Spread cat litter on the spots. Crush it in with your boots. Swivel and dance on the cat litter! Really work it in. Sweep it up and be amazed!
